More publising news. Don't miss Issue #2 of GICK! The Journal of Horror • Splatter • Exploitation Films. This issue (one of whose publishers is a Church of Satan member) covers “Satan in the Seventies,” exhaustively exploring the myriad of films which dealt with Old Nick during the “Decade of Decadence,” including a section on Devil-themed porno!

17 October, XXXIV A.S.: “A Map for the Misdirected,” a new essay from Magister Peter H. Gilmore, is now online. It addresses questions raised in some recent emails so that we do not need to repeat ourselves. I apologize again for the lack of updating on our site, as I am still enmeshed in the seemingly never-ending new issue of The Black Flame. So many other projects demand my time. The updates promised in the previous entry will be posted when TBF has finally been sent off, though I will attempt to update the links section sooner than that.
May you all take some time to cherish and honor the memory of Anton Szandor LaVey on the second anniversary of his death. He lives eternally in our minds and hearts.

I apologize for the recent lack of updating on our site, as I am currently concentrating my efforts on the long overdue issue of The Black Flame. When this is finally off to the printer, I will return to bring you more pages in languages other than English (some excellent translations have been delivered to me—my thanks to those diligent members who have contributed!). We'll report on recent media coverage as well as a beautiful Walpurgisnacht wedding, be including some fun new links (folks who have made requests, we will be listing you) and there will be some surprises as well. Keep those Hellfires burning!

10 April, XXXIV A.S.: The Washington Post interview with Anton LaVey is now up.
Tomorrow is the 69th anniversary of Dr. LaVey's birth, a time when his friends would have sent him rare treasures to bring joy to his life, reciprocating some of the great gift he gave to all of us. Watching his eyes light up and receiving his heartfelt appreciation was an experience that I dearly miss. My friend is gone, but he is in my heart. I will listen to his music tomorrow and shed a few tears, and will continue with the work he entrusted to me. He was truly one of a kind.
