Happy Birthday Doktor!

Today, April 11 of XXXV A.S., would have been Anton LaVey’s 70th birthday.

I know that many of you will spend some time today, thinking about the impact he had on your lives, and those of you fortunate enough to have been in his company, will remember the joy he had in all the little things which we could bring to enrich his world. It was small payment for what he gave to us, but it was the measure of the man that he took such pleasure from everything that came his way.

He was truly a Satanist, who enjoyed his life to the fullest. And he was always willing to share that joy with those whom he loved and respected. And he remained so, ’till the end of his days.

Anton Szandor LaVey, we salute you! You live on in our hearts as a lambent force that inspires us to greatness. May we have the courage to be as ruthless and as generous as were you.
