The famed host began with skepticism, as one might expect, but was won over by the candor and earthiness of Reverend Schlesinger. By the conclusion of the four-hour conversation, Mr. Bell said that he understood Reverend Schlesinger to be "the real thing," a skilled representative of contemporary Satanism - which is embodied in the Church of Satan.
