The Devil:

An Unauthorized Biography

In March of 1997 c.e., Magister Peter H. Gilmore lead members of the Maninblack Grotto, headed by the Reverend André Schlesinger, in a Black Mass in Manhattan's notorious Hellfire Club for the BBC's series, The Devil, An Unauthorized Biography, which was to be broadcast in March of 1998 C.E.

This three-part series was a Roger Bolton Production, the first and last segments directed by Ben Fox, whose crew came to the urban jungle of New York City to capture real-live Satanists on video. The British film-makers were excellent, and worked towards capturing the event with the utmost drama. They also interviewed Magister Gilmore and included some of that footage as well.

The series began with the origins of Satan, the middle segment dealt with medieval times and the atrocities perpetuated by Christians in their efforts to suppress natural instincts, while the final segment dealt with modern individuals who resonate to the imagery of Satan, whether as an adversary, or a role model.

Overall, it was detailed and slowly paced, as one might expect from BBC documentaries, but it was very well shot and edited, and it showed much truth about Christianity's negative doings (particularly their demonization of the Jews), far more so than any American produced program has ever portrayed in the past.

This program was broadcast here in the United States in from mid-to-late October ('tis the season!), on both the Learning Channel and the Odyssey Network. We wouldn't be surprised if it resurfaces yet again.

The following images are video captures from the raw footage shot by Ben Fox's crew.
