The Altar of Magister Michael Rose

Michael Rose Altar: full view

Magister Michael Rose, whose fine essays you can read on our Theory/Practice page, presents his altar. His personal emblem appears on the altar cloth, overlaid with an ornate ram’s head.

Michael Rose Altar: closer view

A closer image, showing the sigil on the altar cloth, as well as the traditional bell—this one of Tibetan origin, chalice, black and white candles, and, at center on a pedestal, a bust of Amon, the Egyptian Neter representing the Dark Force in Nature, upon a trapezoidal base. To the left is a tripod decorated with ram motifs.

A very close image, showing the Amon bust, with Dr. LaVey’s sigil decorating the base, as well as the silver chalice which is embossed with Bacchanalian scenes of indulgence.
