The Altar of Matthew DeRuilley

Matthew DeRuilley 1

Matthew DeRuilley has created an original interpretation of the Sigil of Baphomet, and has included a model of a human skull, symbol of mortality and the temple of the mind, as a central icon. Note the inclusion of a “witch’s” broom and cauldron—tools used for fertility rites.

Here, the candles are lit, and above the altar is an image of a wolf, an animal with whom many Satanists feel a kinship. Also, if you look to the top right of the wolf image, you will see a print of Coop’s infamous Church of Satan poster.
