The Altars of The Asylum of Satan

Asylum of Satan Altar: close view.

Over many years, “aesthetic terrorist” Magister Rex Diabolos Church has always constructed unique altars that incorporate elements of his sculptural technique—utilizing steel and bones as integral components. This altar is made of two interlocking steel pentagrams, one as the altar top, and the other as the focal symbol. In the center of this is a metal container in which burns a representation of The Black Flame.

Here is an older version of the same altar. Note the diamond-plate steel trapezoidal base, and the open-top skull at center of the pentagram—incense burns within this skull. Dragon candleholders represent Leviathan. The tubes on either side are used like chimneys for the production of dramatic smoke effects.

More recently, Magister Church designed a new steel trapezoidal altar with horns attached. It is surmounted by a traditional Sigil of Baphomet.

Asylum of Satan: invocation.

Here we see Magister Church preparing an invocation and you will note the presence of a woman upon the altar platform. His vestments are wrought of leather.

A close up view of the ritual tools, which include a Tibetan skull bowl, bell, and the usual chalice and black candles.

Asylum of Satan: chalice raised.

The chalice of ecstasy is raised, and you can see the chained incense burner resting before the nearly-nude altar.

Asylum of Satan: group ritual.

Magister Church serves as celebrant for a group ritual. This was filmed for an upcoming television program, and High Priestess Blanche Barton stands immediately to his left, cloaked in balck velvet.
